Computer is one of the most important things in our daily life, and we can't work efficiently without computer. We can see today computer is indispensable to lots of people. However, with the time passing by and frequent use, a fast computer will inevitably slow down, and nearly all the computers will meet this problem. Everyone wonders the reason why the computer slows down and how to make the computer faster. I have been bothered by this problem for a long time and finally I asked one of my friends who is an expert of computer for help. Here I will share my experiences, there are many reasons leading to the computer's slowdown:
There are too many unused files or junk files that cause hard drive malfunction. In this case, you should delete unused programs on the disk C to release more space.
Possibly, there exist so many background programs running in the computer so that there is no enough space to run the main programs. You can use the Start/Search function to find the program and configure it not to run at startup, remove it from Programs/Startup, or delete it from your system.
It may result from the old or conflicting Windows device drivers. To prevent this kind of error issue, first you should boot the computer in Safe Mode by pressing and holding the F8 key during the startup. In Safe Mode, select Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Devices. See if the drivers have any yellow or red exclamation marks and if there are any duplicate drivers. You need to delete and reload a driver and delete the duplicate ones.
As each new Windows program is installed and uninstalled, some needed Windows system files could be deleted or it can't be deleted completely and will leave behind parts of itself which will slow down or crash your computer. When your computer asks if you need delete shared files and you'd better say no.
The adware, spyware, virus, or Trojans may find their way to get into your computer. To get rid of them, you need to update your firewall, anti-virus software, and anti-spyware. It is very important to update these programs frequently.
